Treatment Summary: | Atenolol was initiated at 50mg, and titrated to 100mg, based on BP > 120/70 mmHg and tolerability. Blood samples were collected prior to initiation of atenolol treatment and after at least 6 weeks on the final dose. Blood samples were spun and serum and plasma fractions stored at -80C.
